Riyadh University of Arts to Open Applications in May
Applications will open in May for Saudi Arabia’s new arts university ahead of a September start.
Applications for Riyadh University of Arts will open in May, with the first academic year set to begin in September, according to Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Culture.
Based in Riyadh, the university will launch with four colleges: Music, Film, Theatre and Performing Arts, and Cultural Management.
At its initial stage, the institution will offer eight academic programmes, with plans to expand to 13 colleges as it develops.
Prince Badr, who also chairs the university’s board of trustees, said the institution is intended to provide specialised education in arts and culture, supporting students to contribute to the Kingdom’s creative industries.
