Jazan Honey Exhibition Tops SAR 1 Million in Sales in First Four Days

Sales at this year’s honey exhibition in Jazan exceeded SAR 1 million during the event’s opening four days, underlining strong demand for locally produced honey. The exhibition is being held at the cultural centre in Al Edabi Governorate and brings together 60 beekeepers from across the region.

Around 10 tonnes of honey are on display, representing 15 varieties produced in Jazan. The scale of participation highlights the region’s established beekeeping activity and the commercial appeal of its products to visitors from within the Kingdom and abroad.

Alongside individual producers, the exhibition hosts a number of government and civil entities involved in supporting the honey sector. The Jazan Beekeepers Association is participating through a dedicated pavilion showcasing modern honey extraction and sorting equipment, manufacturing and processing tools, and beekeeping supplies, as well as product samples that illustrate the full production and marketing cycle.

The association is also promoting a transition from traditional hives to modern beekeeping methods, providing equipment and technical explanations to local producers. Its participation includes an overview of training programmes and development initiatives focused on beekeeping fundamentals, improving production efficiency, and strengthening technical and marketing practices within the industry.

In addition to honey producers, the exhibition has created marketing opportunities for 45 families working in related fields. These participants are offering traditional foods, accessories, perfumes, incense, clothing, herbal extracts, and other heritage products, adding a broader cultural dimension to the event.
